Vasque Sundowner Boots
I've worn this brand and style for nearly 20 years as a field-going botanist. I've climbed mountains, splashed through streams and worn out my soles on the basalt scablands. Although I've tried other brands and styles, this is the one I always come back to. Comfortable and rugged boots with waterproof lining. The best!
I appreciate Campsaver's quick shipping and EXCELLENT prices. It's great to have another brand new pair to take me through years of hiking!

Well constructed and comfortable
Took a whole year to decide on a real leather hiker. I eventually decided on the Sundowner. It is very nicely constructed and comfortable out of the box. I went up half a size and cannot say more about how good the fit is.

Great basic leather boot
I like this boot very much. It seems to run a little large, but this is okay as it gives me plenty of room in the toe box, even with thick socks. I ordered wide and they are true to being wide. They were actually pretty comfortable straight out of the box; just a little stiff and a bit heavy. It only took wearing them a couple of times to break them in to my feet and adjust to the heavier weight. My only issue is that the toe scuffs really easy and the color doesn't run deep into the leather. I will buy leather dye and good shoe wax to protect them. I love that these boots are gor-tex and waterproof. My feet stay comfortable, warm and dry. Of course, I only wear thick wool socks with them. I haven't had any problems tramping through snow. I would definitely recommend these boots.
