Daniel P.'s Review of Westcomb Tango Hoody - Mens
I walk 2 – 3 miles every day, and this jacket was supposed to handle any excessive heating in the “shoulder” seasons – too cold for just a base layer, and not cold enough for a coat. In that regard, it’s fantastic. It does allow heat to escape, and still provide warmth; however a couple of negatives made me return it. First, the inner liner is not a “slick” layer, and grabs whatever base layer you have on. This means you have to do some adjustments to the garment every time you put it on, and when you pull it off after your workout. That’s a nuisance. Second, this garment has the same property as other Polartec items I’veworn; it absorbs sweat, and winds up smelling after each use. Unlike a merino wool layer, the smell doesn’t go away, which means the garment must be washed more frequently. Again, a nuisance. I really wanted to love this coat, but the negatives outweigh the benefits. I prefer the Patagonia Nano Air hoody.
