Well worth the price if you can swing it! - Western Mountaineering AlpinLite 20 Sleeping Bag

This is by far my favorite outdoor gear item I own. And the most expensive. It was recommended by an AT Thru-hiker that I know and I saved up to purchase it and don't regret the decision in the slightest. It is very light for the weight and amount of warmth and overall comfort. Plenty of room and I'm not a small guy (210 and 5' 11") I have the regular bag rated for 6 foot person. Packs down small and can be compressed. Fabric is very water repellent and while the down is not hydrophobic I don't expect to get wet in it as I will always transport in a dry bag and use it in a waterproof tent. Too warm for above 60-degree weather for me, but good for most everything else. I love it so much I use it in my bed sometimes on cold nights! If you can afford the investment go for it. You won't be disappointed.
