Reviews & Ratings for Western Mountaineering Badger MF 15 Sleeping Bag
— 5 reviews — Page 1
I sleep cold and really wanted a warm bag. I just took this on the Wonderland Trail and slept comfortable and warm, perhaps a little too warm some nights. The roomier fit is great and the fabric feels good.

I just got this bag in June so I haven’t been able to use it in real world conditions. I set it up in the basement on a sleeping pad and was amazed at the loft of this bag. I’m 5’-11” 190lbs and the 6’ bag fits great. As a side and stomach sleeper I find the little bit of extra room this bag offers to be beneficial because I move around a lot when sleeping. The zipper is flawless and I don’t see it ever getting hung up. The stitching, fit , and finish is all excellent. This came with a compression sack and a large storage sack. Overall great product
Pros:
Light High Loft
Light with high loft and durable microfiber fabric construction
Cons:
None
Best Used for:
Fall winter spring

Great loft with bag. Took out in temps down to 20F and stayed warm all night. Zipper works wonderfully in the dark to be able to get in and out of bag as needed. Bag is super comfortable to sleep in. For a 15F bag, it packs down to a small size to easily be able to fit in my pack. Will be a bag I can use for 3 seasons.

Bought specifically for use in the Sierras and CA coast for summer and fall use, as well as use in Yellowstone and Tetons. I'm 6'3", so the long length fits perfectly. I have only had the bag down to about 40 degrees so far, but found it to be extremely comfortable. Lofts very quickly to full when pulled out of the stuff sack. Stuffing it back in can be a pain, but it does provide a good forearm workout. One of the first bags I have owned where the zipper does not snag. If I had to do it over again I would buy this exact bag.

After spending a few years with a competitors 15-degree spoon shaped bag that I do not trust below 30-degrees, I decided to look for a new bag. The WM bag is on a completely different level. The loft is twice as high and the outer shell is significantly more durable. The extra width is enough room for a nomad sleeper to flop around during the night. I have not tested down to the 15-degree rating, but I'm confident enough to give it a try with this bag.
