But these are more slippers than booties. They have a stiff foam sole and DON'T compress small.

Western Mountaineering Down Booties - Unisex
Comfortable, warm on cold days in side our home. I wish they had just a little more thickness to the foam padding, otherwise they are great, these are my second pair in many years.

Great bootie!
I originally went one size down based on other reviews but I ended up returning the smaller size and purchased the size that fit my foot according to the size chart. You could size down, it seemed like it would have worked, but I could feel the front of the bootie with my toes even while walking a short distance around my bedroom. Since down doesn't insulate well when it's compressed I went with my size according to the size chart to give the insulation a little more space. I am a mens size 9/10 and bought the size medium originally, returned for a size large. Hope that helps someone!

93 yr old Mother LOVES these!
She tends to have cold feet, and she lives in her down booties when she's in the house. These fit her well. They are snug enough not to increase her risk of falling, and she likes the grip on the bottom, on our hard floors. The light blue, which I chose for her so she could find them in the dark, is a very pretty color.

Ultra light & ultra warm
Very light and very warm down booties. My old Sierra Designs booties were worn out so my husband splurged and bought these lighter ones. They are awesome! Western Mountaineering make a high quality product - I have quite a few of their other down products and they are top notch quality/ultra light.

Western mountaineering down booties
I have very cold feet and I bought these booties to wear around the house. They keep my feet toasty warm but one minor problem is the sole flattens out causing it to be a bit uncomfortable to walk on hardwood floors. At a local carpet store, they gave me a piece of their high-quality 1/2 inch carpet padding which I used to cut out insoles. Now the booties are perfect and unbelievably comfortable.

Just what I am looking for!
These down booties are going to be perfect for my teardrop camping and wearing at home. I followed other reviewer's suggestions and ordered a size down. Normally wear a 7-7 1/2 women's shoe. So ordered the xs. It was too small. (Maybe Western Mountaineering resized?). Had to return and am now waiting on the small which I hope will be perfect. BTW I love the blue color!

- Elastic ankle band inside is a little tight. Wish it was adjustable

Super warm and light booties!
My feet felt instant warmth as soon as I put on the booties indoors. Looking forward to trying them outdoors during winter.
I wasn't sure to get a medium or a large because my foot size of 9 was potentially borderline tight for a medium and too loose for a large. I got the medium and it fit perfect with just enough wiggle room for my toes. The bottoms are also cushy and got good grip.

Super Booties
I purchased these for my girlfriend who regularly struggles with very cold feet. She's had them for just over a month, and have performed miraculously! They have significantly increased her happiness during this frigid time of year(she's from southern CA, and curently lives in PA). We are both super happy that her feet can so easily stay warm or warm up quickly as needed. I am also quite relieved that she doesn't feel the need to put her freezing feet on my legs when I'm just about to fall asleep. So far they are phenomenal! She has worn them during almost all of her waking hours at home, and they do not show signs of wear. The material and workmanship are superb and I suspect that they will hold up well for a very long time.
