All mountain all time!

by Brendo, from CO, United States Written on December 22, 2020
the touring swiss army knife is what i call the range split. This splitty does it all from step couloirs to hero snow freeride runs. If you are looking for an all mountain split that performs this is the board for you. The camber to early rise allows a great uphill experience not a lot of slippage and it's easy to get those edges in on the side hills too. This board is great for anyone who is just getting into splitboarding or even for the hardy veteran. You won't be upset with this purchase.

The Range is a TRUE RULER.

by Zgriff, from CO, United States Written on December 11, 2020
I've done the majority of my splitboarding on the Range 161. I love this board. It is a true RULER. Strong and responsive with the camber under the feets and early rise tip and tail. It is a teched out ride with mad pop thanks to carbon stringers and a directional hole pattern. Great to open it up on big ol' faces. Fun to butter and slash and stomps airs and cliffs. Tours great on the skin track with the traditional shape. A sportscar of a splitboard.
Pros:
  • Rides switch well, peppy, responsive
Cons:
  • None
Best Used for:
  • All around charging, bx freestyle

Playa play on!

by Lawson, from CO, United States Written on November 11, 2019
This is a sick board! Like a great street baller, its got power and finesse aplenty, plus style and flash. The predominately twin camber shape makes it a hit stomping beast. The slight setback lets the rider hold a natural stance in deep pow, necessary for all that stomping.
Super fun and playful, plus confidence inspiring on big lines.
send it.
Pros:
  • great stomping platform
  • agile and playful
Cons:
  • None
Best Used for:
  • all season splitboard adventures

Fun Board!

by Nico, from CO, United States Written on November 2, 2019
If you're looking to ride some switch and maybe add a spice of freestyle into the backcountry, this is your go to board! I have ridden this thing on pretty much every type of condition out there and it has yet to disappoint. It is great having a non directional splitboard in the quiver for those days I am feeling sessioning a jump or a wind feature where I will be landing switch. Also tours like a dream.

My Board of Choice for All Conditions

by Jeffrey Kepler, from CO, United States Written on November 1, 2019
The Weston Range Splitboard is my favorite split I have ever ridden. To begin with, camber allows this board to grip on the uphill skin; and the dual sidecut, combined with camber, grips on steep and icy ski mountaineering lines. Additionally, the early rise tip and tail provides float in deep conditions, and I have ridden in deep pow regular and switch on this board. Finally, this board is great if you have freestyle in mind because the directional twin shape makes switch landings and takeoffs effortless. Overall, this has been my favorite splitboard for the past three seasons.
Pros:
  • Great edge grip
  • Skins well
  • Durable base
  • Floats in powder
Cons:
  • None
Best Used for:
  • touring
  • Backcountry
  • powder
  • Hardpack
  • Freestyle

Weston Range = Ultimate Versatility

by Pat G, from CO, United States Written on October 30, 2019
The Range splitboard is hands down the most versatile splitboard on the market. It is the main board I ride on everything from freestyle/freeride backcountry to technical splitboard mountaineering. I even rode this splitboard from the summit of Denali! If you're looking for a splitboard that freestyles at ease while still maintaining great float in powder the Range is the one. Its ability to ride technical terrain with its tremendous agility is incredible as well!

My go to split

by Brendo, from CO, United States Written on October 30, 2019
I been riding this split for the last 4 seasons. It’s one of the most versatile boards for the backcountry being a directional twin. Very playful but sturdy enough to handle the chop making for a great cliff dropper and awesome the the backcountry booster days. My first 14er was on the board on grey and Tory’s and it handled the wind scoured summit like a champ. I come from a park background so it was a great board for me to transition in to the backcountry on as well bc of the general shape and design. This in a solid or split is a quiver killing machine.
