Wetterlings Backcountry Axe

Have used this axe to hew two handles from a dead standing hickory tree next to my house. This tree was also felled by said axe. Its balance is superb and handling characteristics are fantastic. This thing holds an edge beyond belief. Length is plenty for two handed welding as well. Fits in my backpack - no problem!

This 20" axe is large enough to fit in the back of my truck. It's perfect for clearing trails and not too big for camping.

A sharp purchase

Just a well made piece of gear. I always purchased the hardware store variety axes and abused them. This little beauty will not see the dirt, on purpose. The only tree roots it will see will be on un-earthed stumps.
