Best pair of convertible pants I've bought yet

by David Keener, Verified Owner from OH, United States Written on June 2, 2019
I normally wear 32x32. Sizing was precisely as expected.

Now, I bought these with a pair of Outdoor Research Equinox and a pair of Prana convertibles. In terms of comfort, I'd have to give a point to the Pranas, but these are an extremely close runner-up.

What I really like about these is how White Sierra decided to color-code their leg zippers. Now that I know how convenient that actually is, I've been complaining how my other pants do not have that feature on their zippers.

Since I just got them, I haven't had a chance to use them, but...they look and feel like the kind of pants one would wear to hike a trail all day, jump in a lake, dry out by a fire, sleep, jump in a lake again the next morning, and hike back home, all in the same pair of pants. Just sayin...
Pros:
  • Lightweight and breathable
  • Color-coded zippers
Cons:
  • Nothing that I've thought of yet

Nice pants but narrow cut

by Derek, Written on April 22, 2016
Good pants, well made and the right size around the waist. I bought size "M" which fits 33-35in waist, however, the cut is narrow so the legs are tighter than I would like around mid-thigh.

They fit well, seem rugged, and are light weight

by Danton, Written on November 24, 2014
I'm 6'3" with long legs and a long torso, so it's always a challenge to find unfitted clothing--that is, most baclpacking and hiking clothing--with a good fit. With shirts, a "tall long" usually fits, but most of the stuff doesn't come in a "tall" version and I wind up getting "XL," which may or may not be long enough. Pants are even more challenging. A "large" size often has short legs. Because I could get these trail pants in "large" with measured inseams (I got the 34") these pants fit me perfectly. They seem as durable as my other trail pants and they pack well. Two thumbs up.
