Very impressed with the quality of the boots. Look forward to receiving these for Christmas. These are already my favorite Christmas present.

I can wear these all day long. No blisters, my feet don’t feel hot in the summer. My feet feel wrapped in comfort. Yet super stable. I would recommend trying on different sizes. I typically wear size 12, but I was much happier with the size 11.5. I have a pair of Zamberlan Vioz and they are size 12. These are the best!

I really wanted to review these boots because they are without a doubt the best boots for hiking, mountaineering, backpacking, and just getting out in the woods, that are on the market today. Yes, they are expensive, but they are worth every penny you’ll spend. There are also deals out there from Camp Saver and others that will help lessen the hit. The first good boots I ever owned were handmade Peter Limmers and I had to wait a full year for them to be handmade back in 1972. They lasted a very long time but my feet changed over the years and I finally had to give them up. There was a side seam that hit just the wrong place on my arch. I loved those boots and looked for a long time for suitable replacements. I have now found them. I have worn Danners, Merrells, Chippewas, and many others in between. But there was nothing that came close to the quality and workmanship of those Limmers, until now. I like an all-leather boot for the support and prefer one that can be resoled because it will last a lot longer. Laminated soles just aren’t as good as those sewn directly onto the boots. Zamberlan boots are top quality leather, inside and out. One piece of leather on the outside with no seams until the piece joins in the back. Inside is soft glove leather with no seams to rub blisters. Others have said they require no break-in period. That’s not exactly true. They are very comfortable and feel good the first time you put them on. They can be worn right out of the box, but you’re goin...

Great boots. Usually buy LaSportivas and these could be my favorite, have some lower leg surgery history and a ankle fusion. These are rigid and supportive. Added Orange type insoles and they are great with low arches. Definitely will purchase again

I have always been a major fan of Zamberlan. This was to be my third pair of Zamberlan boots/shoes. They are incredibly well made. I wore them inside the house a bit to check comfort and fit. The shoes will definitely require a break in period given they are a quality built hiking boots. Based on past experience I have no doubt that they wold break in very well and would be very comfortable. My previous two pairs of Zamberlan's used European sizing and they fit perfect. This pair used US sizing and unfortunately the sized 13 that I purchased is just a bit small. I normally wear a US 14. The shoes is not available in a 14. So, unfortunately I will have to return them which I hate because they are great boots.
Cons:
- sizing a bit off on the small side

an amazing boot in that it is a top of the line old school backpacker/hiker that, with new technology, may be on its way to a phase out. i love these old classic style boots, probably because i love classic older things.
as a photographer, mostly cities, i don't climb the Eiger or other peak to put these to the test, however, i wore these for a weekend of night shooting around San Francisco, which has steps, dirt paths, ups, downs, concrete, fields, museums, etc. also the airport and flights in and out.
the boot is called a 'high volume' last by technical types, meaning it is for a full foot. well, i have a narrow runner's foot, so i just laced up a bit tighter and these wore fine. as for the landscape of the SF, these were great on every terrain, including miles and hours of concrete. and, note, this was their breakin wearing, and there was no discomfort waiting for leather to start to conform...i'm sure they'll get better with age, but they worked no hassle right out of the box.
admittedly a poser when it comes to hiking, my main experience as mentioned is heavy duty city treks, hours at a time, to shoot, though i do hit rough graded dirt and such. so, while these are a classic from hiking's past, functionally they are excellent. as well as remarkably comfortable out of the box for a boot that looks like it would take years to break in.

Just got these and have not yet even broken them in, but they fit very comfortably and I've always had very good results with Zamberlan boots.
