Really love my Neo Air sleeping pad. Opted out of the UL pad because of the many comments regarding how noisy it is. This pad is just right. Waking in the morning there was no loss of volume to the pad. I'm a side sleeper who turns a few times. My hip never once hit the ground. The narrower size caused me to wake up more than I wanted to reposition. Wider is better. It does tak...

These Matt's are worth their weight in gold. We have used these Matt's for the last 4 years without a problem and no matter how I lie on the mat no part of my body has touched the ground through the mat

Second section hike of AT I wanted to reduce pack weight so I traded my heavy air pad for a lighter foam pad. As a 58 yr old I realized the ground is harder than I remembered, especially for a side sleeper. I received the pad as promised and did blow up the pad and took a nap. Held air, didn’t sound too loud, felt great! I’m excited to take it back to the trail in April. The p...

This is the second one of these I have purchased. Extremely useful to keep in the car in case of getting stuck on long journeys or in bad weather. Very comfortable and easy to deploy. Makes a lighter mattress if you can use it propping your feet or head up on something else if you want to save weight. So good this is my second one.

Got the NeoAir Trekker a few months ago now and have used it in the Rockies as well as some hiking trails near where I live (Nebraska). Much quiter than the original NeoAir, not that that was a biggy. The major advantage of this pad is its durability. I actually feel comfortable setting it on the ground and not having to baby it in my tent. I went for the long version (for a li...

I haven't used this on a trip yet, but I wanted to review it to call out a few features that swayed my opinion. One of the most important things for me was the noise. I decided on the NeoAir series after a lot of reading reviews and seeing various pads in stores. The biggest difference between this pad and the others in the series is that it doesn't have the reflective baffles ...

Questions & Answers for Therm-a-Rest NeoAir Trekker Sleeping Pad
Q Would I be able to blow up this mattress with an EXPED Schnozzel pumpbag? Judson L. Frisk
A
Expert Answer

The Schnozzel is specifically designed to fill Exped mattresses, but you could probably rig something to make it work on a Thermarest.

Q Does this Trekker pad have the same heat reflecting inner construction that the XTherm pad uses? One of the reviews (from 2 years ago) said it did not, just wanted to confirm. Thanks.
A

It does have the same construction, but not the extra internal heat reflection pieces. Hope this helps! Let us know if you have any additional questions.

Q The clearance bag is $40 less. I am wondering if this is more than just a cosmetic/color change or are there significant differences in the pad...like weight, stuff size, material? Thanks!
A

The clearance model is just from a previous season and is no longer being produced. It may also be a little heavier or bulkier than the current model, or simply just be a discontinued color. There will be no defects (even cosmetic). The cosmetically defective sleeping pads will be labeled as "irregular".
