Product Info for Western Mountaineering Terralite 25 Sleeping Bag
The latest addition to our Extremelite Series is a wide sleeping bag made for side sleeping comfort, the Terralite. It features our 12 denier ripstop nylon shell fabric with a 15 denier nylon taffeta lining material. There are two zippers allowing this bag to mate with our mummy bags and the second zipper opens the bag up completely around the foot. With both zippers open this bag can make a fairly wide camper van comforter, but even when zipped up it is extremely comfortable. This is due to its wide girth through the middle of the bag, a design that side sleepers will find ideal. Despite the comfortable shape, this bag weighs less than two pounds.

Very nicely built sleeping bag...It has one zipper for the side and one for the feet. It will open up and can be used as a quilt...Not so sure about the zipper at the feet but time will tell...Bag is light weight and compacts down very small. MADE IN THE US was a driving force in my choice..

Bought two of these bags to hike the Appalachian Trail with the wife. Really like the way they zip together and they are so puffy, they nearly filled the entire tent. Wife is a cold sleeper and she is toasty warm. I like the extra width because I roll around a lot. I would recommend this bag to others.

I've used the Terralite as my in-home bed for a week now and it is a dream. Top quality, massive loft, super warm. I'm really looking forward to seeing how much cold it will handle with winter approaching. I'm sure I won't be disappointed.

This will be the second western mountaineering bag I own. I also have the summer lite for ultralight lightweight trips. The Terralite is much roomier and very warm. When unzipped like a quilt you can easily fit two under the bag and sleep comfortably. Highly recommend for weight, size, and warmth. I've had this bag in the 20's and no layers and stayed very warm.

It is a very nice bag. I am a big guy 6'4" 250# and the large size fits me well.
Well made and the zipper works without getting caught.
It packs up small and weighs in at 2lbs. It would be nicer if it had a neck collor and elastic in the hood drawstring.

The zip side refers to when you are laying in the sleeping bag, which side it is on. Most people prefer to reach across instead of having the zip on their dominant hand side.

I don’t believe the bag can be overstuffed but there multiple different liners that could be used which would raise (or, lower, rather) the comfort threshold to 12-15 deg. I am like you in that I really like the dimensions of this bag; I am a side sleeper AND have wide shoulders. But ideally I would have a 0deg bag. I can’t find one even remote...
