Great little stove for solo or duo

This product is only for boiling water. Since that's what you do backpacking most of the time it is a good product. Takes 2 oz of alcohol to boil 5 cups of water at sea level. White gas in a wisperlite takes about 1.2 oz. So, if its just two people and a short trip its perfect.

I adore this stove

I bought this stove a month ago and tried it several times in my backyard with my Kelly Kettle. I wasn't impressed by the first and second runs. It turns out there is a break in period. Best stove I own for boiling water

Amazing Stove

This is a great stove for what it is. I use it to make my ramen and boil water for my oatmeal. Dead simple operation, nothing to break or clog. Paired with a GSI Halulite Tea Kettle it makes a great(and light) cook combo.

Q Suppose there is fuel left over after you have completed all your water boiling needs. Is the white box easy to extinguish, and is transferring fuel back to container messy or difficult?

Having another similar alcohol stove, I usually boil just enough water in a small pot, the after I pour I use the pot to extinguish the flame by putting it upside down over the stove. I don't know about fuel transfer with this stove

Q Can I use ethanol chafing gel with this stove?

This stove is only designed to use denatured alcohol or methyl alcohol (HEET in yellow bottle). Alcohol stoves are designed for use with completely liquid fuels and not gels.
