The Esbit Cookset is so compact that it fits in my hand. I throw it in my daypack when I patrol the forest on weekends. It's the perfect size for a cup of coffee or soup on the trail. It works for small-size dehydrated food preparation too. The entire kit fits inside the cooking pot. The cookset is a little heavier than titanium kits, but for price you can't beat it. The stove ... Read the reviews, which were lack luster, and went ahead and bought. Nice little unit. Boils up to 1 1/2 cups of liquid easy enough. 2 cups, better plan on two fuel tabs which are cheap. Small and light. Put in my pack for hunting and fishing trips. Love eating a hot meal @ lunch time when everyone else are having energy type bars. Takes 6 or 7 min. to heat up but in the woods or... This cooking set is sturdy, compact and completely functional and useful. I have not tried it yet myself (appreciated all the helpful reviews) and will test it out on a fishing trip, but plan on stashing the sets I purchased in our bug out bags.

It took about 8-10 minutes to boil 16 oz of water and the tablet burned for about 16 minutes total, so it kept my coffee warm also (I used the pot as my coffee cup). If you are looking for a super lightweight basic cook set, this i... Read more
I've wanted this stove for months. It appears to be a great design. Don't be fooled to think it is set up, however, to be multi-fuel ready. It is only set up for fuel tablets.

The Esbit Cookset is great for the main task of heating water for cooking and drinking. Simple, light weight and right to the point of utility. Its outstanding for backpacking and hiking and designed for efficient heating.
Only con would be to design a version with a larger cup 750ml to allow you to use water for food and hot beverage.
You could us your Primus Omni-Fuel stove with the Esbit Cookset Pot pretty easily, but the Esbit Cookset was designed for the Esbit Stove, and therefore is more efficient when used as it was designed.
