Decided to go ultra light after 5 days in the Bridger with a 75lb pack. Down to 23lbs now and it feels like freedom! Volume is almost as important as weight and the Optimus Crux is the best I've found in both areas.

This is a very compact unit, well designed and you can fit a lighter, wind shield, snow peak spork and chopsticks inside with a bit of thought. I only use it for boiling water, rather than cooking directly in the pot/saucepan. The plastic covered handles may melt with time, but so far so good. The only con is that the way in which it is packaged from the factory. The burner tends to move around causing some superficial stratching. Also take care it takes longer to cool down than you think. Great hiking
