The Canada Goose Skreslet Parka was co-designed with Goose Person Laurie Skreslet and is constructed specifically for reaching the highest altitudes -- then helping you stay warm once you get there. In 1982, Laurie became the first Canadian to reach the top of Mount Everest. This parka will meet all of your mountaineering expectations and is available in iconic Summit Pink for guaranteed visibility at a distance.

An adjustable bracing wire for support and superior protection in high-wind conditions
Hip-length, but cut longer in the back for more protection from the cold and wind
Four-way adjustable tunnel hood; two-way with elasticized draw cord and another two-way with a Velcro closure flap
Centre-front reverse coil YKK two-way locking zipperSingle hand adjustable hem draw cord seals out the cold and snow
Two Napoleon chest pockets, with waterproof reverse coil YKK zipper closures, and each with a vertical strip of 3M reflective tape for better visibility
One large inner lower mesh pocket to hold a water bottle
Fully seam-sealed for complete protection against wet weather
Two hand warmer pockets with waterproof reverse coil YKK zipper closures and unique, extra-wide sleeve cuffs with Velcro closure for ease of use and venting
Rubberized elastic on the Nylon snow skirt, with snap closure flap

This is the Canada Goose to buy if you want to spend time at high altitude, where you need to stay warm, but don't want the super heavy weight of most of Canada Goose's jackets. Bought this in person from Camp Saver. I'm 6'0", 170, and, while I typically wear medium or even a large in other brands, the size small is more than big enough in this. Coat is amazingly warm but I feel the fit and finish could have been a little better. I understand that they tend to run a little big due to the need to layer in cold weather but this goes a bit to the extreme. my favorite jackets are canada goose. you pay more up front but if you want quality you will find it is worth every penny. not simple "imported" junk. high quality workmanship, keeping manufacturing here in north america. the skreslet jacket is lightweight and easily packable for travel. it is a bit "poofy" and i have considered getting the summit jacket(slightly more compact) ... The jacket has a ton of great features (powder cuff, cinch waist among them), but I just couldn't get over that I looked like the Michelin Man in it. I wanted something to perform functionally and aesthetically. For my 5'11", 160lb frame, the aesthetics just weren't there. Oh, I tried a Medium, and I don't think a small would have worked.

I hike a lot in all kinds of weather, do some climbing, and a lot foraging so when I was given $1,000 to spend on clothing by my sister in law I jumped at the opportunity to get a really nice cold weather coat for trips in Quebec and Northern Maine. The Skreslet Jacket Runs true to size, it might feel a little bit big, because they are meant for expedition type outings. Also, they might feel big for layering underneath. We do however, have smalls in this jacket. Thanks
