The BearVault is the result of experienced backpackers and their pursuit of a better bear canister. The BearVault has an innovative patent pending design so you can open and close the lid without tools. Super rugged transparent polycarbonate housing resists impacts without shattering. Extra wide, rain proof opening provides full access for loading, unloading, and finding items. Built in guides keep tie down straps in place so extra carrying case is not needed to attach to backpack.image

have the larger bear vault as well and got this smaller one for shorter trips cause the price was right on campsaver. i prefer bear containers because the last thing i want to do after a long hike in is find a suitable tree to do a hang on, and if you are above the tree line then good luck without one. plus, these double as a stool and are clear, which i like. tough, easy enoug...
