Edelrid produced this special edition lightweight sport climbing rope to celebrate their 150th anniversary. It represents 150 years of ropemaking experience. And it comes with a complimentary limited edition rope bag. This anniversary edition comes with DuoTec, a permanent marking in the middle of the rope and a distinctive design. The rope caddy is a revolutionary rope bag designed to keep things simple. It houses your rope in a flexible cylinder in the middle of the tarp to prevent knots and tangles, and also comes with 4 tie-in points and padded shoulder strap for ease of use. The Thermo Shield treatment has been in use for more than 20 years. Thermo Shield is a thermal stabilizing process for the rope that gives it the famous Edelrid handling characteristics and feel. The rope undergoes a heat treatment cure to stabilize and harmonize the individual yarns. This treatment cannot be washed out and ensures a supple rope throughout its working life. DuoTec A new, patented Edelrid process to manufacture bi-color ropes. One of the braiding spools is manufactured to have a contrasting color to create two disctinctly different sheath patterns. Each half of the rope length has a different color. The DuoTec process ensures permanent marking in the middle of the rope and a distinctive design. The differently patterned rope halves are easily identifiable - very useful while rappelling, determining how much rope left, or butterfly coiling.
