This is one of the greatest alcohol stoves on the market! It not only boils, but can be used to simmer. It is a complete package. The only thing you need to add is alcohol, a pot, and food to cook. Just returned from three days paddling my 14 foot canoe up in the Okefenokee swamp. Brought my new Etowah II alcohol stove to try out. I was very pleased with the performance. Burns very well but lid sticks

The stove is excellent, burns hot to start to bring water to the boils, then goes low which is excellent for a long simmer Will also burn 70% rubbing ethanol BUT The lid sticks of the inner container, so it is very difficult to get off, and the container will become dented and scratched Shame.....

The Best Alcohol Stove Ever Made

I have been using the same Etowah stove since 2002. It is pretty rusty but it works just like the first day. It has never let me down. If I had one suggestion it would be for the manufacturer to make the stove out of some rust free material. That's it. As far as I'm concerned the Etowah is the best alcohol stove ever made.
