Is the down likely to compress or shift with use?

Internal barriers at both top and foot end will prevent down shift between the baffle.

I'm looking to buy one pad that I can use for 3+ seasons. Will the pad be too warm (due to the insulation) for summer use?

This pad does have a higher R value, so it will definitely work as a 3 season pad. It could be a little warm in the summer, but you can compensate by using a lighter sleeping bag or sheet depending on the temperatures.
