The Gregory Wasatch 12 is a versatile pack made for light and fast trips on the trail. The BioSync suspension allows the pack to move with you and the internal compression system keeps the pack centered and close to your back, helping eliminate pack bounce during high aerobic activity.

I was talked into getting a smaller day pack for hiking by a friend. This is a small pack, it is well made and thought out. But, I like my roomier Gregory Z35 for hiking though the mountains. I carry this bag when I ski. It is the right size to put my hydration bladder, snacks and sandwich for the day, and extra clothing if it gets hot in the afternoon.
The waist straps and side pockets are a bit bulky, but they big enough to stuff an energy bar and sunscreen for easy access while you are sitting on the lift.
