Product Info for Lighter1 Bear Bin

The LIGHTER1 Bear Bin is an ultra light polycarb bear canister and a cooking pan that doubles as the lid for the Polycarb canister. LIGHTER1 Bear Bins have been approved by the Interagency Grizzly Bear Committee (IGBC) for use in the National Parks. It has been individually approved by such parks as Yosemite, Denali, Sequoia, Kings Canyon (SEKI), Glacier, and Rocky Mt. National Park. LIGHTER1 also passed the "Grizzly and Wolf Center live bear test".image

Super Good Bear Canister

Small size is perfect for fitting into smaller alpine packs and plenty of space for 5 or 6 days of food for one or two people. Don't use freeze dried so lots of space for real food. More than enough space to pack 3 days of food, stove and canister fuel inside. Best to carry small pot holder to make for safer pouring of hot liquids.

The top lid/pan is screwed into the cross support bar through the main barrel. So screws is the short answer.
