I read a few reviews and decided to take a chance on this device since I had not met anyone who had used it before. I can say that after using it for a few months, I like it a lot! In fact, I like it better then the gri-gri 2. It's super small and light, is very easy to feed out rope on lead and catches falls and lowers very well.

This is essentially a gri-gri that requires a larger force to activate the camming (braking) mechanism, which is why it *almost* pays out slack like an ATC. You don't have to manually override the camming mechanism, but you do need to pull the leading end gently and it needs to be parallel to the brake end. Still much better than lead belaying with the gri-gri. I also like that... Read more
