I chose this rope, a 9.6mm diameter because I wanted it to be lighter for packing on a trek that includes several decent rappels. I also chose the 70m for the extra length. I got this rope on sale for less than $100, including shipping. I'd been wanting a 70m rope for a long time and was expecting to have to drop nearly twice that much money to get one.
Granted there's nothing super-special about this rope, but I'll really only be using it for fair-weather trad climbing, so it's just what I need. Very stoked to have found such a deal!
