So far so good. I only wear it in the city. There have been pretty heavy rains, but I’m only walking in them 20 minutes at a time or so. No soak through this far. Love the color and fit. It’s big enough to let me put layers underneath but doesn’t look baggy. I’m 5’8” 180lbs, a little extra build atm.

I considered the Torrentshell 3L, but bought this because it is cheaper and I felt it would probably do the job. My main use for this is a lightweight winter shell, and I think it will be fine. Over the years I've owned two or three of these. They are not the driest, nor the lightest, but they also don't break the bank and keep you plenty dry and don't weigh down your pack. A jacket you don't worry about stuffing in the bottom of a pack or beating through the underbrush.
The weight listed is wrong. Mine in size M weighs more like 339 g (or 12 oz).

Bought as a gift- my fiancé and I love the Marmot Precip and I’m excited to try out the Eco (newest version). Pond green is kind of pretty and was such a great deal- can’t beat the price! These jackets make awesome ultralight shells for backpacking.
