This is perfect for me because I mostly eat from dehydrated food pouches when backpacking, so all I need is something to boil 16-oz of water and to use as a mug. I much prefer the short/wide shape of the Titan because there's more bottom surface area for the stove's flame to heat plus its more stable on top of the stove.

This kettle/pot is well designed. The lid tab can either be folded down or slid over and locked in the upright position during cooking so you don't burn your finger tips trying to flick it up off the lid. You can pour without taking off the lid, but the opening is small enough that not much heat is lost during boiling. I did flip the handles around (wider part on top) for easie...

I am very pleased with the Titan Kettle. It is perfect for my needs. I've had the MSR Blacklite set for awhile now and decided that there wasn't any point in having such large, bulky pots when all I use them for is to boil water. I am a fan of MSR so looked to see what else they had and came across the Titan kettle. It is a perfect size to boil water for 1-2 person meals and is...

Questions & Answers for MSR Titan Kettle
Q I want to know the sizing, please.
A
Expert Answer

The Titan Kettle's dimensions are just under 4 1/2" in diameter and just over 3 1/2" tall. A canister's diameter is 4 1/4 so a canister will (4 or 8oz) fit inside. However you can only fit an 8oz canister inside whereas with the 4oz canister, you can also fit a PocketRocket.
