Most Helpful Positive Review Perfect Simplicity
This is perfect for me because I mostly eat from dehydrated food pouches when backpacking, so all I need is something to boil 16-oz of water and to use as a mug. I much prefer the short/wide shape of the Titan because there's more bottom surface area for the stove's flame to heat plus its more stable on top of the stove.

This is the best titanium pot for one person in my opinion. the lid could put on the pot perfectly. High quality making from MSR as always. I like it so much and take if for my every trip. Boiling water, or just use it as a bowl.

Cons:
  • Expensive

Well designed

by scott b., Written on August 15, 2017
This kettle/pot is well designed. The lid tab can either be folded down or slid over and locked in the upright position during cooking so you don't burn your finger tips trying to flick it up off the lid. You can pour without taking off the lid, but the opening is small enough that not much heat is lost during boiling. I did flip the handles around (wider part on top) for easier handling, but this might be a personal preference. I typically boil 1 1/2 to 2 cups of water and add my food to the pot. This pot is the perfect size for this

Perfect for my needs

by Navy Dave, Written on December 26, 2012
I am very pleased with the Titan Kettle. It is perfect for my needs. I've had the MSR Blacklite set for awhile now and decided that there wasn't any point in having such large, bulky pots when all I use them for is to boil water. I am a fan of MSR so looked to see what else they had and came across the Titan kettle. It is a perfect size to boil water for 1-2 person meals and is incredibly lightwei

I use this pot on basically every camping/backpacking trip I go on. I love it's simple design and light weight. It is also very easy to clean. Although there are no bells and whistles I've found that this pot has been more than adequate for all my backcountry cooking needs.

Great Lightweight Pot!

by Whelenshooter, Written on September 10, 2011
The MSR Titan Kettle is a very high quality, lightweight pot to use for backpacking. Due to its short height, there aren't a lot of cups that will fit inside it with the lid in place. My Snow Peak 450 is much too tall to fit inside. I understand the MSR Titan cup will fit inside, but I don't own one. The Titan Kettle can be used by itself as a very large mug, but I think it works better as a po
