Yes,I know they stand up by themselves and you usually need a long spoon,so why not insulate that fresh hot meal? The (H)EAT insulated pouch by Optimus does just that with no muss or fuss!

I don't recommend this product. A little heavier than a homemade coozy out of reflectix. Works good for eating out of your pot or freeze dried meal. No cover for pot use is a negative, a little short for a typical mountain house meal.
Pros:
  • None
Cons:
  • Short, no cover, heavy
Best Used for:
  • Car Camping

The material is nice and it insulates and keeps the heat in the bag after you put the boiling water in. It has hand slot on the front and in the back for your hands. This makes it easy to carry and keeps your hand insulated from the bag of boiling water. Bottom is flat so the bag stands up nicely. It weighs nothing and takes up no room.
Pros:
  • None
Cons:
  • small
Best Used for:
  • Camping

Kept me from burning my fingers. Also, held the lunch pouch in place without fear of falling over.
