Wood burning stoves!

Written on Aug 01, 2015

I've got a couple of wood burning camp stoves(BioLite & Kellys Kettle) that require wood to heat water, charge your cell phone & Ipad. These Tinder Sticks fill the

bill when everything else is soaking wet. From fatwood stumps and from Sweden, high resin content.Never fail to light and keep the fire as hot as you want.

Feel safe!

There's a lot of carabiners out there, but when they screw lock,it's a better deal.Light, approximately 1/2" in diameter, these "Black Diamond" carabiners are probably,in my mind, the safest a person can have.

Well,I believe I've got them all now.Sizes and colors,so everybody has their own plate and spork, when cooking for a group of five or six.

OK,if you're cooking pots and pans are Aluminum, you've maybe noticed that metal taste in your mouth.Well, you don't get that with Stainless and it's tougher and as light as your Aluminum! As far looks is concerned, well that's up to you,but they all turn brown or black and blue eventually.

Got an EXPED pillow pump?

If you do,then this FlatValve Adapter is just the ticket to inflate that EXPED sleeping pad.Haven't tried it on other brands of sleeping pads, but sure it would most likely be compatible.

Haven't had a chance to use it in the wild, but I'm sure of the same results.Fast water boil for your freeze-dried food and/or coffee.

Light and bright!

These AceCamp nail pegs are bright colored are easy to see and are long enough to secure your shelter. And they're light enough to carry more than you usually would need.My only gripe is for the price, which is a little more than like stakes don't have pull cords.

The Aluminum Mess Tin comes in two different sizes, large and small.Holds all the loose items(swiss army knife, compass,GPS,pens and pencils,etc.).

The hot handle!

Written on May 05, 2014

If you're going to spend the money for quality cooking pots and pans you might want to consider picking them up hot.Unless you're in blizzard conditions and warming your hands while holding a hot pot or pan is a pleasure. They're light, made of aluminum and absolutely necessary when cooking a meal on any stove.

Snowshoeing?You need these!

Tubbs, the name is world famous for snow sports and equipment! I'm a firm believer in "name brand" anything, that way a person has more input into what's what when you're in the market. These 3 Part poles are compact and give the user a variety of choices, height wise.Various baskets can be used dependent on snow conditions. If a person pays enough for the equipment they put on their feet, quality poles
