The New Down Sweater (2014/15) is a great piece; well designed and warm. The fit is a touch slimmer and longer in the overall length from the previous model. Wide range of temperature use (single digits in CO to low 40's). No down leakage to speak of. Good length in sleeves, top quality zippers outer shell is god quality materials as well. Due to high quality (non-live pluck) o... Read more

I bought the Down Sweater when my much loved Nano Puff finally gave up the ghost, and I'm thoroughly impressed. It's very comfortable and keeps me quite warm on cold days as a top layer over an R1 fleece, and is also great on super cold days as a mid layer.
The hood is a good one, and I like how the neck line comes up nice and high when fully zipped. Also, the single point t... Read more

I ordered this jacket in Legend Green for a great price. It's a nice jacket, but the color was not for me. I preferred the High Loft version of this coat for more neutral colors, higher loft, and more casual style and greater warmth. FYI, the on the down sweater hoody zips very high, such that it can cover your face. Depending on your needs, this can be a feature or a flaw.

Well made. Warm, light, versatile. Good for morning walk. The hoody keep me dry on misty mornings. I have several Patagonia butter wear. Their layering design is great. Easy caring as well. Can be washed in washing machine.

Very warm, very comfort. Function wise A+
Runs a bit large. I am 6 ft. 160 lbs. I will say if you are fit, you might feel the upper back and shoulder part is a bit tight, and the lower torso is a bit loose. Also the stuff sack is pretty tight. It takes some work to stuff the whole jacket into the pocket.
Questions & Answers for Patagonia Down Sweater Hoody - Men's
I have come to find if you have longer arms, I would go with the bigger size just to be on the safe side. Or I would go with a European company who caters towards longer arms in general, try the Rab Micolight Alpine Jacket. Exact same as the Patagonia Down Sweater, but will have longer arms. Thanks
