The Big Agnes rep emailed me, "The Big House does indeed come with poles that have a natural bend to them. This is to relieve tension and allow for proper set up."

Big Agnes uses a seam tape that is solvent free, meaning that it has no PVC’s or VOC’s, two things that folks watch out for with chemical sensitivities. By law they use fire retardants on their tent fabrics, though they do not use halogenated fire retardants that contain chlorinated or brominated chemicals.
