Certain parts of the boots are made in Italy, but others are made in Vietnam.

What is the difference between the Alp Trainer and the Mountain Trainer GTXs?

The Mountain Trainer is designed to excel over rocks on technical hikes on and off the trail. It is extremely rugged and will require a short break in period. The Alp trainer is similar but will be lighter and more flexible. It is designed more like a classic hiking boot, but has incorporated technical features to provide performance as well. When deciding between the two, it would be best to consider your intended use and personal preferences.
