I got these for hiking....I hike about 4 times a week, living in SW Colorado. I didn't check "durable" 'cause these only last a bit over a year, but I think it's because I wear them SO much! This is my 2nd pair. They fit well, I feel "nimble" when hiking on talus & tough ridges, they always feel comfortable. If I have to buy new ones every year, they're worth it!

I purchased this product for hiking/backpacking. I have a particularly hard time with finding shoes in general because I have a skinny ankle, but wide toes. I purchased a few boots and this did the best job of hugging my ankle and providing enough toe room. I think a big part of this is because of the stretchy cushion on the ankle.

I was looking for the right approach boots for a Grand Teton climb, so I bought 3 different styles and tried them all out (even wearing one kind on one foot and a different one on the other, then switching) over two weekends of hiking, rock climbing, rapelling and via ferrata at Red River Gorge.
