The Mountain Trainer is designed to excel over rocks on technical hikes on and off the trail. It is extremely rugged and will require a short break in period. The Alp trainer is similar but will be lighter and more flexible. It is designed more like a classic hiking boot, but has incorporated technical features to provide performance as well. When deciding between the two, it would be best to consider your intended use and personal preferences.
