The burner rests inside the windshield whose dimensions include a 3.5 inch diameter and a 2.5 inch height. It will fit into either sized Mess Tin, but more snugly in the Small.

You need to purchase the large sized Trangia Aluminium Mess Tin to fit the Trangia Spirit Stove w/Mini Windshield.
