Reviews & Ratings for ALPS Mountaineering Lynx 4 Person Tent
— 5 reviews — Page 1
This tent is huge!! Plenty of room for my group of friends and I. Really not much weight difference from the 2-man I've been using for the last several years. The added bonus is that with only one person carrying a tent, we had a lot more room for other gear/food. Excellent tent regardless of price,...

I bought this tent for a 5 night Boundary Waters trip with my family of five. I didn’t want to spend big bucks since my family is growing and we might not fit the tent in a year. Also, it seemed to check all the boxes, aluminum poles, double doors and vestibules, great footprint size and around 8lb...

Extra good tent for the near serious camper. I have taken the same (Nearly) tent to the Boundary Waters (BWCA) for years.
We have used it with 4 adult males and it is tight, but doable. When used with 3 adult males it is plenty roomy.
Completely watertight under heavy rain and wind. The rainfly goes all the way to the ground which is very nice in rainy conditions.
It is small enough to set up on small sites and rugged enough for the roots and rocks you deal with in the BWCA.

Haven't gone camping in almost a decade. I was extremely impressed with how easy it was to set it up AND take down to fit it back in the drawstring bag. Would definitely recommend!

This tent is not the lightest, but at just over 7 lbs all-in, it is a pretty good deal. Camped 2 nights with it as just over 11,000' and it performed well. The double vestibules (one outside each door) are large enough for a couple bags, shoes and other gear each. The other thing I like about the tent is that setup is super easy and fast. Only two tent poles, it goes up quickly. The rain fly is also nice because it clips in to the corners -- couldn't be easier or faster There are also a couple small mesh gear stows and a gear hammock (clips in up top of the inside of the tent) included.
While I do need to put this tent to the test in rainy weather, so far I am happy with especially in comparison to the price I paid for it.
