Game changer fir my feet.

Altra’s were recommended to me after having a painful metatarsal issue that is now completely healed due to the roomy tie box in these shoes. I use these runners for long walks and short runs and can leave them on all day. Also bought a pair of their hikers which have the large toe box as well as really comfortable/padded ankle support.

Altra Lone Peak 4.5

These are excellent shoes! I now understand why so many thru-hikers rave about them. The feel is like being barefoot, but with protection from rocks, twigs and suchlike. The stone guard really works to keep the tenderest part of your foot protected, yet the soles have a lot of flex for free movement. I especially like the "foot shaped" toe box - lots of room to wiggle the piggies. I got these in a size 8-1/2 and feel they fit true to size, with room for your foot to expand on long hikes. I'm not a runner, but I would think these would be great for trail running for all the same reasons, plus the tread gives you great traction on loose or slick surfaces.

Comfy toe box but zreo drop not for me

These shoes are comfortable to my feet - I love the wide toe box and the cushioning. But after wearing them one time, my lower back ached and my legs were incredibly tired. I've realized that zero toe drop is not for me and too difficult an adjustment to make.

Neutral and comfy

True to size, no guessing like in previous versions of Altras. Lots of room in the toe box. Not the super squish type of shoe, but great grip, comfortable and a familiar Altra fit. Very lightweight. Will probably use them mostly for hiking and mixed training.

Super light

I got this shoes for mother day. Nice shoe I usually wear 8.5 on tennis shoe but it runs a bit big so returned to order 8 the site offers free exchanges. The only problem by the time they get my shoe it may be out of stock
