Most Helpful Positive Review Tough Backcountry ski jacket.
I wear this Arceryx jacket for backcountry skiing here in Oregon's Cascades. As you know, it rains and snows a lot in the winter here. I've used this jacket on several occasions this winter and spring and it has kept me dry and comfortable. It is a Gore-Tex Proshell. The solid construction holds up to occasional brushes with trees and ice, I've had not wear problems yet. The pit zips can zip

I did not get it, although according to the ORDER STATUS, it is delivered, which is not true.

by Jung Min Choi, Verified Owner from MA, United States Written on August 8, 2021
I ordered 2 acteryx jackets at one time. However only one is delivered, and the other is not. I checked the order status, and it said that the other item is also delivered.
It is very annoying situation, and I sent an email to Campsaver.com and waiting for the reply. My plan to go to holiday trip with beta ar jacket is ruined

Great all around outdoors jacket

by Jay, Verified Owner from CA, United States Written on May 25, 2020
I use this jacket mainly as an all around travel jacket, whether to SE Asia during monsoon season or to below 0 degree weather in Japan and Nepal during winter, it has held up exceptionally well and is great at keeping the rain and wind at bay. However, looking back, I think this jacket is probably an overkill for my use (i don't do any technical climbing), and one of the Gamma jacket probably would have been more appropriate.
Pros:
  • Great fit and durablity
  • Waterproof and breathable
Cons:
  • crinkly
  • huge hood

This is the jacket that gives me the most peace of mind. I walk for hours in the wind and rain, or ride a motorcycle. I never get wet. All the zippers are square water, and the pockets are also waterproof. A jacket full of sincerity

Excellent Gore Tex Shell

by bhub, Verified Owner from UT, United States Written on April 2, 2020
All around use jacket for many activities that gives you the gore tex pro protection from elements. Not heavy at all and is very versatile. Hood is big enough for a helmet yet can adjust down to fit without one as well. The length is perfect for my frame and doesn't go to far past hips and restrict any movement. There are other shells cut longer for those that need it but if couple with bibs for snow activities I found the length perfect as for a smaller frame other shells end up being way too long. Has internal pocket besides to two larger waterproof outside pockets. Arc'teryx has done a great job with this and label it as "all around" I've found that to be true. It is pricey, but that is typical of a jacket with Gore-Tex pro.
Pros:
  • Fit
  • waterproof
  • weight
  • wind proof
Cons:
  • Price
Best Used for:
  • Inclement weather

Whenever I go out in bad weather, the Beta AR jacket is always my first choice. The waterproofing is done very well. All the zippers of the jacket are waterproof, no drop of water has penetrated, and the surface is very durable. Feel free to shuttle in the bamboo forest without worrying about breakage

  • durable
  • strong
  • Water & wind proof

Arc'teryx Beta AR Jacket

by tdibbs, from OR, United States Written on December 29, 2019
favorite go-to all day, everyday jacket in the PNW (most of winter). 3L is robust, but not too 'crinkly.' I wish the hood was a little smaller. it has plenty of space for my bike helmet (more than necessary), but then is too large when wearing a hat to keep rain off the glasses. prefer the hood of my previous gen beta jacket that was gore active shell, but guess that one fit a different niche.

wish chest pockets were more hand pocket placement/size (i dont climb with it), but they still work well for hand resting. I understand the intent of this jacket with pack/harness accessible pockets, I just don't use it for that, but hard to find a jacket in the Arc lineup with these specs... and regular hand pockets. feel like at this price point, i should be able to find that option. otherwise 5 stars.
Pros:
  • QUALITY
Cons:
  • Price

Nice Jacket

by unicorn0204, from OR, United States Written on June 20, 2019
It is a nice jacket with good discount. The quality of Arc'teryx is better than other brand. I am 175cm and 64kg. It’s stylish and fit. I can wear this one during raining day. I suggest you can buy Beta AR because it is 3 layer Gore-tex and it is durable for any bad environment.

by George, Verified Owner from DE, United States Written on February 15, 2019
Best rain jacket I have ever had. Arcteryx not only make the awesome color caribaou, but also make this jacket very stylish. Feel very breathable enough to wear it all day. Tough enough to bear all kinds of outdoor damage. Highly recommend.
