The best weight/space ratio on a freestanding tent - Big Agnes Angel Springs UL 3 Tent - 3 Person, 3 Season

I confess I did not buy mine here- I found it cheaper elsewhere. But not by much, and it was a special sale, so Campmor probably has the best price at the moment. I was originally looking at the AS UL 2, but started reading the specs and realized, "wait a minute- for a few bucks more, I can have WAY more room, at only an extra 6 oz - totally, totally worth it. I am so tired of being sardines into "2 person" tents that barely have room for 2 people squeezed together shoulder to shoulder in mummy bags. Ugh.
This tent is incredibly well designed (with the exception of the single side door) and is a snap to put up. It is freestanding and still barely tips the scales at a little over 3lbs. I am just not a tarp person. I want the protection and flexibility of a freestanding tent. To each his own, and that's mine. I have room galore in this, with ample room for 2 people and all their gear. LOVe that!
