The best weight/space ratio on a freestanding tent
I confess I did not buy mine here- I found it cheaper elsewhere. But not by much, and it was a special sale, so Campmor probably has the best price at the moment. I was originally looking at the AS UL 2, but started reading the specs and realized, "wait a minute- for a few bucks more, I can have WAY more room, at only an extra 6 oz - totally, totally worth it. I am so tired of being sardines into "2 person" tents that barely have room for 2 people squeezed together shoulder to shoulder in mummy bags. Ugh.
This tent is incredibly well designed (with the exception of the single side door) and is a snap to put up. It is freestanding and still barely tips the scales at a little over 3lbs. I am just not a tarp person. I want the protection and flexibility of a freestanding tent. To each his own, and that's mine. I have room galore in this, with ample room for 2 people and all their gear. LOVe that!

Spacious and light!
It's huge for 2 people. Plan is for my son and I to use it on a BS trip to Philmont. Will let everyone know how it holds up.

great solution for lightweight family hikes
Bought 2 of these for my family of 5. Camped one night and so far very happy. Very easy to setup, roomy, great ventilation. Quality components throughout. The "jakes' foot" pole and fly attachment system is awesome. Untested in wind, but has a number of tie down points. Performance of the reduced fly in rain... will have to trust the design team at this point in time, but can't see why it won't work fine.

Super light, Huge, Very Well Built.
This thing is huge (43sqft) for a tent that packs down to the size of a small cantaloupe (w/o poles) and weighs just over 3lb total. It is completely freestanding but staking it down is recommended. There was plenty of room for two people and gear inside, you could sleep 3 but it would be tight and gear would have to be left outside. It has pockets everywhere to maximize storage options. The ventilation on the tent is amazing with the two roof vents and the unique rear high wall rain fly. I never had any condensation inside the tent. The zippers run very smooth, I only had a couple of times that they got caught up (most likely my fault from a loose pitch). I feel if the tent is pitched taunt then you can operate the zippers one handed.
On my last trip it rained nearly the whole time. We had it all sprinkles, thunderstorms, flash flooding and 40-50mph winds. At one point there was 4" to 6" of water running around and under my tent. To my amazement nothing inside was wet.

Spacious. Lightweight. Would buy again.
Tested for 7 nights including two with rain. The tent is easy to setup, holds in moderate wind, and does not leak in the rain. It has great ventilation and did not collect much condensation. Did not get the footprint, but so far no tears in the floor. By components, weighed the tent at 19.1 oz., rain fly at 14.2 oz., and poles at 13.7 oz. (I do not use the stakes included but instead carry 6
