Most Helpful Positive Review Its a ground sheet
I like the fast fly option of the big Agnes tents and these ground sheets make it possible. Easy color coded clips make assembling a breeze. I use tyvek for some of my other tents which is very durable but loud. These are very light and soft.

Fits like glove.

by Cutters, Verified Owner from NSW, Australia Written on March 5, 2020
I put off buying this groundsheet because of the cost and the odd negative feedback about ill fitting. After completing the 65 km overland track in Tasmania, I’m doing all I can to lighten my load so I’ve ditched my cheap tarp and lashed out. The new groundsheet fits my Big Agnes like a glove and is much lighter in my backpack.
Pros:
  • Light
Cons:
  • A tad expensive without a discount

Nice quality but expensive

by gabrielcr78, Verified Owner from San José, Costa Rica Written on February 19, 2020
i like it very much and i'm kind of a "same brand" guy where if i buy a tent i like to use the same brand's footprint, or buy the same brand's rain fly for my backpacks but if you don't mind using a generic, you can save some $ by going with one that fits your tent just well enough.
in this case being manufactured for the same tent, of course it fits very nicely.
Pros:
  • Fit and finish
Cons:
  • PRICE A BIT HIGH

Reliable as usual.

A great footprint made just for your big Agnes tent. Very light weight and easy to use. I was thinking no need to use footprint, but after my first camp I come back to CampSaver purchased this footprint and feel even more satisfied with my big Agnes tent.

Pricy but worth it

by Marc, Verified Owner from NC, United States Written on September 12, 2019
I haven't purchased a new tent for many years. Fortunately when you buy something good it lasts. I went from backing to bike-packing and I needed e new tent. I've been looking at the BA bike pack specific tents b/c of all their bike pack specific features -- weight, shorter poles, stuff sack, etc., but hesitated on the price. Finally, when CampSaver had a sale I made the purchase HV UL2 w/ foot print. Although I have not used it bike packing yet. I have set it up X2 and it's SWEET. I bought it for bike packing but you can obviously use it for anything. It's simple to set-up and pack away. Light and feature rich. Yes, it's pricy and I would wait to get it on sale. There are other light bike pack tents out there but this tent has the most features . . . so wait and buy the most tent you can, b/c you will not want to buy another one for many years. By the way I plan on carring the tent on my front "drop handle bars" which are 44mm wide and it fits perfect!

Protects your expensive tent floor!

by Joe K., Verified Owner from AZ, United States Written on June 10, 2019
I recently replaced my 2011 Big Agnes Copper Spur UL2 and footprint with the new 2019 version. Back in 2011, the tent was a considerable amount of money so I wasn't ready to spend more on an expensive footprint. That being said, it made sense to protect that tent investment so I bit the bullet and purchased the footprint. We backpack in a lot of rocky places (AZ, CA - Sierra Nevada, Co, Utah) and I can say it has done a great job protecting the tent floor pan and it has held up well itself. I did make a tyvek foot print that is maybe 2oz lighter, but the BA version is so nice/well made that I carry it on most trips. The 2019 version looks to be made well and I expect it to perform the same/better.
Pros:
  • Best protection for you expensive tent, well made, allows fastpitch
  • Best protection for your expensive tent, well made, allows for fast fly setup
Cons:
  • Tiny bit heavy, a bit expensive

Matches up well an for easy pitch

by JP, Verified Owner from WA, United States Written on December 10, 2018
Matches up well with CS HV UL2 and makes pitching a lot easier with the snap-on design. Made tyvek footprints for previous tents and they never fit or functioned quite right. Looking back, it wasn't worth the effort or cost savings.

Light but strong

by Harleycountry, from CA, United States Written on September 13, 2018
A good addition to protect my tent. Fits a little loose until it is staked out. I wish it fit a little tighter so I wouldn't have to use stakes in good weather. It only adds about 8 ounces to my pack weight.
Pros:
  • Light
Cons:
  • Expensive and it fits loose
Best Used for:
  • Backpacking

Lightweight addition

by Paul, from United Kingdom Written on August 4, 2018
Bought to use with a Copper Spur HV UL2. Hopefully this footprint will prolong the life of the tent's groundsheet. At only 169g, (around 6oz), it's not super thick or heavy, and folds up to a tiny pack size. It comes folded in a small bag.

So far, so good!

by Anthony G., Verified Owner from TX, United States Written on April 11, 2017
Took this tent backpacking for the first time last week. It handled an overnight 30 mph crosswind pretty well. Seems much sturdier than the old model. Roomier too.
