These are the best crack gloves. They are low profile and fit well. The way the straps tuck under the rubber is what makes these gloves work. They stay put, don't shift and protect the back of the hand very well. Highly recommended!

Easy to get on and off. Stay in place when you are climbing. Protect your hands so much better than tape. Well made to last. I am just learning how to climb cracks and these gloves give me the confidence to get on the crack and learn the proper henrique without all the pain and bleeding.

I got these to do laps on cracks at the gym, and they're great for this. They do add more volume than tape, which is nice on fist cracks but makes thin hands a little more difficult, although both are definitely more comfortable. They're a little awkward to get on, as you need to tuck the strap underneath the flap, so I don't know how much I would use them outdoors.

This is my second pair, and the first pair is still working find after several years of mostly weekend climbing. There is no need for tape anymore. I tried some other gloves years ago, but they were too thick. Not the case with these.

Having tried other brands of crack gloves, I can say that these from the Czech Republic are the best I've worn. Narrow and close fitting, but plenty of protection for the backs of your hands.

I have a pair of the old Hand Jammies (not the newer version that tears easily) which is pretty good, but the Ocun gloves are even better. They are thinner so they fit better in tighter cracks, and the finger loops are of a better design than the Hand Jammies. The only design flaw is the placement of the velcro closure on the back of the hand, so it's rubbing against the rock in a hand jam. Taping around the velcro is one solution, but it would've been better if they placed the velcro closure on the wrist instead.

I love this crack gloves. I have been using it for three weeks now and I love it especially when I am projecting one of my crack routes and able to jam my hands w/o any worries. Now able to go for the climb instead of worrying aout "gobies". What a brilliant invention!! I will be buying another pair once I wear this pair out.

No tape gloves needed with these, although I suggest taping around the wrist, covering the Velcro and where the nylon strap bends. Use cheaper, not so sticky athletic tape not euro tape, which is too sticky.

I've tried the Hand Jammies, Singing Rock Chocky gloves, and the Ocun Crack gloves and the Ocun's were by far the best crack gloves. Ocun's are thinner than the Singing Rock gloves and also have a velcro strap that wraps around the wrist to stay in place unlike the Singing Rock Gloves. They are more durable than the Hand Jammies (which would rip after a single use) but probably not as durable as much as the Singing Rock gloves because of their thinness. The only downside is that the Ocun's tend to run small so try them on before buying if you can or buy a size up.
