If I could just rate the "100% Satisfaction" policy, I would.
I ordered this jacket in September 2013. It's such a warm jacket that I really couldn't wear it until the end of December when temperature/conditions warranted.
The first time I wore the jacket in the colder weather, I could feel a tremendous amount of cold weather pouring in from the inner portion of the arms - where my elbows bent. I felt the area and all I could feel was nylon - no down. Because I'm an active ice climber, I needed the jacket for belay purposes. I called CampSaver and made a complaint. I was told to call Rab and file a warranty claim. At the end of March 2014, I sent the jacket to Rab for a warranty submission. I received the jacket back in the beginning of May. Again, too warm to verify the issue had been fixed.
Fast forward to this week. The temps here in New York have been in the teens. Perfect conditions to check-out my newly-fixed belay jacket. Bad news - Same issue!!!
I was looking for a "do-it-all" vest for a while and decided to drop some coin on the Tech Vest by Mountain Hardwear.
This vest is everything I wanted it to be. It's made out of Windstopper and you can tell. Nothing penetrates the Windstopper membrane. It breathes like a vest should and doesn't get caught up under s shell if used for layering.
I purchased these shoes mainly as a winter, waterproof shoe that reflects some sort of style. I love the design Patagonia uses and the fact that they incorporated a Gore-Tex membrane for waterproofing.
The only downside I have noticed with these shoes is the breathability. As most know, Gore-Tex isn't very breathable, but in the dead of winter, I'm not sure breathability will be a big deal.
