Mammut El Cap Helmet
We've used these helmets for 14ers. I liked the idea of having a small visor and found it a nice feature when it started snowing/sleeting on us. Nice looking helmets that fit well and most importantly, protect one's noggin in a fall or from a stray rock kicked loose from above.

Kuhl Liberator Convertible Pants - Men's
These are great pants that are functional and nice looking for convertible pants.
Features I like:
(1) real belt loops - not a tube like other hiking pants
(2) zipper is concealed well
(3) material is comfortable and water resistant
The pants are cut just a little slim in the legs (at least a little more than I'm used to) but that's definitely not a deal-breaker . . . just something to keep in m

fantastic pair of boots

I've only had these boots for about 6 weeks but I've already been thoroughly impressed. As noted elsewhere, these boots scream quality craftsmanship right out of the box. They are taller than other boots I've had, thus providing superior ankle support. They've handled the mountains of Northern New Mexico without a problem (rocky terrain, loose dirt, and mud).
