Take your hiking to the next level without the need for complicated bindings or straps. Thanks to our simple, yet secure, Quick-Fit Binding System, K10 is on and off in a flash with just the click of two buckles. So you don't get bogged down when traveling over mixed, non-technical terrain. Paired with our patented LeafSpring Flex Bar technology, K10's binding system also allows the ankle and foot to move independently, ensuring maximum comfort and range of motion.
Excellent for the purpose I wanted - use on snowy and icy trails where there is not enough snow cover to use snowshoes. On ascents on trails I attach snowshoes to external straps on my pack and as I ascend and reach deeper snow, remove the snowshoes and replace with the crampons, spikes pointing outward
I took these into the backcountry 4 miles. Performed flawlessly. Adjust before use. Took less than 1 minute to put on and start hiking. I did recommend to a friend. He choose military surplus and now regrets, HA!

The winters don't get that cold here in Oregon, so my gortex trekkers do the job perfectly for winter travel (with a nice thick wool sock, of course), but there are times... Read more

They have just the right amount of bite with 3/4" spikes and they are made of high carbon Steel, 4130, which is the same alloy we use in the aviation world if we have to spec out steel for structural strength. I purchased these crampons specifically because this coming summer I will be backpacking the PCT Southbound and there is a real p... Read more

I decided to go with Kahtoola K-10 Hiking Crampon because it is adjustable and fits all of my boots. The spikes are long enough for hiking and backpacking and will penetrate packed trails as well as giving traction on ice.
