Bought recently my Granite Gear Nimbus Trace Access 60 Backpack and had a chance to go out hiking/camping in Australia's most wet spring season. I must say Nimbus was an awesome companion: lightweight, easy to carry, fit all my required gears. The only issue with Nimbus is it doesn't come with a rain cover; otherwise, an ideal backpack.

This backpack carries great. I got the short torso, I'm female, and I find that 'women specific' items don't fit me, so I bought the short torso of the regular model. I carried it 5 days/4 nights in Beartooths, and it is the most comfortable pack I've worn since I gave up my Kelty external frame. Yeah, it has lots of extra straps etc, but I carry a light but bulky sleeping pad,...

I just got back from a 5 day 4 night backpacking trip on Isle Royale National Park. I had a full weight of 32lbs and the pack felt light and comfortable after adjusting. I put on 7-8 miles the first 3 days and a bit less the other 2. I was able to fit all necessities for backcountry camping for 5 days. The front access was pretty nice although I found I only needed to use it on...

I bought this pack for weekend backpacking trips as well as extended travel. I serves me well in both settings. I used it while traveling around South Asia for several months and the front access panel was a great convenience factor. I also have used it on a number of short backpacking trips. I removed the lid and it cinches down nicely for light loads or day hikes. But the sus...

I used this pack for several times of hiking, the longest is 8 days in Himalaya. This pack is just 1.8kg, but have very high wight capacity, I load more than 45lb but still comfortable. But there is still space to improve, the lumbar pad is not thick enough, it will be better if it is the same as Gregory Baltoro. There is no hip belt pocket. There are many straps around the ...

Been on the hunt far and wide for an affordable Granite Gear Nimbus Trace backpack for the past 3 years since I borrowed a friends to walk the Camino De Santiago(stellar performance!) but was always outside my acceptable price range, then, I found campsaver.com, quickly ordered one online from the UK and even allowing for the customs import tax I saved a packet compared to the ...
