Best value in a back pack. Granite Gear makes some great packs. Light weight but it can haul a big load. I have a Leopard AC 58 also. Both from Campsaver. They have the best deals you will find. Sign up for their emails

Shoulder straps and waist belt very comfortable. Took it on two 6 mile hikes. Performed great. I usually wear an 18" pack and I ordered the small which wss on sale. The small goes from 14" ro 18". It fit really well and if need be I can adjust to fit the kids. I like the removable lid. Overall, a great lighter pack but it vsn carry up to 40 lbs.
