Great ultralight offset nuts

by BryceU, Verified Owner from CA, United States Written on December 17, 2022
These DMM Peenut offsets are great for free climbing as they are lightweight and easy to place. The sizes compliment the standard DMM offsets nicely and make a complete offset set. My only complaint is that the aluminum alloy they use is quite hard, harder than the standard set of DMM offsets, which means that it is harder to seat them properly in granite sometimes as they don't bite as well. Compared to the HB brass offsets the allow is much harder. This means they deform less and probably last longer but detracts a bit from their ease of placing. Overall I would still recommend and I tend to take these out more often than the HB brassies while free climbing.
Pros:
  • Lightweight
Cons:
  • None
Best Used for:
  • free climbing

Little Nuts!

by Nate, from CT, United States Written on June 26, 2021
These are awesome. I didn’t think I needed a small set of nuts because I don’t climb super hard, but these weigh practically nothing and they fit in little cracks where others won’t! I use them a lot more than I expected to.

Sweet little offsets

by Zachary W., Verified Owner from WA, United States Written on April 18, 2016
These little wires are a great addition to my rack. Lots of pro opportunities at basically no weight cost. As far as small/micro offsets go, these are inexpensive and seem like they'll last longer and be less likely to get kinked wires than brass offsets. Plus DMM rocks!

Insanely useful

by Scott, Written on August 5, 2014
I've been lucky so far. Whenever I've needed pro for tiny cracks, my partner always had a set of peenuts for me. After making good use of them on several occasions, I decided it was time to get my own. I love these little guys. The continuous loop of cable through the nut means they're stonger than other products where two separate ends of the cable are bonded into the nut. They don't get as
