I hiked Isle Royale for 8 days in May, and decided for next year I wanted a waterproof daypack. So I came home and ordered this pack. Just used it on a summer 20-mile overnighter to try it out. It held my tent, footprint, 3/4 sleeping pad, fleece liner, pillow, first aid kit, ditty bag, rain jacket, and food. I strapped the tent poles and sit pad to the outside. Total weight was 10 pounds. This little pack performed very well for me, with no worries about my gear getting wet. I look forward to future hikes with it, and heading back to Isle Royale with it next year.

I bought this as an alternative to the tiny Sea to Summit sil nylon folding daypack. The S2S was just too flimsy and had a useless harness. This little pack is in a different league for comfort and carrying capability, and it is also a high quality dry sack for gear inside your pack.
The CCF back panels do make it a little bulky, but they also make it a useful pack in its own right. I can live w
