Most Helpful Positive Review Perfect for smaller logs
I bought this as an alternative to using a splitting maul, and wedges, especially for smaller, straight grainy wood. It works perfectly. The light weight allows you to spend more time splitting while also helping to ensure precision strikes. It’s also much quieter that a sledge/wedge combo. Larger rounds take a bit more effort, working around the perimeter, from opposite sides, but it still gets the job done. It excells at breaking down smaller sections for use in wood stoves. Hults Bruk Bjork

I am new to chopping/splitting wood, so I will not speak over my head, but the quality of this axe is very nice! Especially for the price. Out of the box, it was razor sharp and has an all around great balance for my needs around the house. I will mainly be splitting, but will definitely look into a chopping axe/hatchet once I get some experience. We get a lot of freezing rain in the Blue Ridge Mountains and I’ve had a couple trees go down over a few winters. My chainsaw and this splitting axe is a great place to start for firewood. Definitely recommend!

Beautiful, lightweight and sharp

After a few swings to get used to a shorter splitting axe, this axe split without nearly as much effort as my old splitting maul. It was sharp right out of the box and I was impressed by how easily it went through the Maple I was splitting, especially because of it’s lightweight. I’d highly recommend this axe. An added bonus is how beauful this axe looks and is designed.

Great Splitting Axe

This is a great splitting axe! Love the quality and design of the head and handle. This is an excellent tool for splitting wood that you don't need a maul to split. My son loves to split wood with me, but a maul was too much for him to handle safely. This axe is his new favorite tool. If this axe fits your needs, buy it. You won't be sorry!
