I really wanted to like these shoes, but they are extremely uncomfortable for me. I normally wear a 38. After reading reviews, I sized up and ordered a 38.5. When the shoes arrived, they felt tight. La Sportiva are the best
Love the La Sportiva ultra raptors in general, the GTX model is even better. Support and cushioning are top notch for everyday wear, but even more for hiking on rocky loose terrain here in CO. I prefer hiking sneakers over boots in warm temps and hikes that don't have high pitched inclines or declines. There work great for this environment. These run about 1/2 size smaller than most La Sportiva's for me.

Trekked the Andes w/ Happy Feet
I ruined my hiking shoes right before a 2-month trip to Peru. After much research, the waterproof, weight, wider toe box, and aggressive tread on this shoe was what sold me. This has been my favorite shoe! I wore them around towns, 2 to 12-day backpacking trips--sometime in snow and rain, and up the volcano, El Misti. My feet felt great and I didn't get blisters.

Great shoe- runs small
I always wear a 7 in shoes and had to return a 7 in this one and order a 7.5 instead. Otherwise, love them.
